Key West Free Beaches Inc. a non profit organization (501c4) has been working with local businesses and city government to establish a family-friendly clothing optional beach in Key West.  We want to applaud everyone that has been instrumental in bringing this vision to pass.

Beach location is all that is left to decide. This will be done very soon. The locations up for discussion are as follows.                   

 1. The East End of Smathers Beach S. Roosevelt Blvd. Crossovers 12-14

 2. Southernmost Beach at the end of Duval St.

 3. Berg Beach at 1800 Atlantic.

The agreement that we have made with the City of Key West is that Key West Free Beaches Inc. will pay for and manage all of the aspects of the beach. We will need volunteers to take part in South Florida Free Beaches, Beach Ambassador program. This will involve policing the beach to ensure that the beach is safe and clean, greeting guests and informing them of beach etiquette and rules of the beach. 

 We need your financial support for sand fencing, signage, restrooms, showers, changing facilities and any other capital improvements necessary to make our beach the finest beach in Key West. We will also need to send Beach Ambassadors to Miami for training.

The establishment of a clothing optional beach in Key West is a costly endeavor. The vision for the beach is to not only have a clothing optional beach. It is to have the finest, cleanest and safest beach in all of Key West. This will ensure that visitors will come back again and again. We are looking forward to the future as this new door of tourism is about to be opened.
